FAQ

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE HANDMADE SOAP?

Commercial soaps carried at most chain stores are made with chemical additives such as preservatives, sulfates and lather boosters that dry out your skin and can lead to rashes and skin irritations.  The commercial soaps that are in most grocery stores are actually synthetic detergents, not real soap. It is time for you to be good to your skin.

I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN.  IS HANDMADE SOAP SAFE TO USE?

Most likely, you will be able to use my soaps because they are incredibly mild and gentle.  Most commercial soaps are detergent based and can cause skin reactions.

DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?

Lavish Soap Box products are not tested on animals.  The products are tested by family and friends.

ARE ANIMALS PRODUCTS USED IN YOUR SOAP?

Lavish Soap Box products do not use animal products in the soap.  Only vegetable oils and butters such as Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and RSPO Sustainable Palm Oil are used in the soap.  However, some products may occasionally use Honey.

HOW LONG SHOULD MY SOAP BAR LAST?

If the soap bar is properly stored and allowed to dry between uses, it can last 2 weeks or longer.  To help the soap last longer,  you should:

  • Allow your soap to dry completely between uses.
  • Keep the soap on a draining soap dish
  • Try not to leave soap in direct spray of water
  • Never leave in standing water
  • Try using a wash cloth or shower puff instead of rubbing the soap directly on the skin
